#SmartCitiesChallenge Competition‘s deadline is approaching. Indigenous communities, municipalities and local or regional governments are invited to send their proposals that can empower communities across the Canada using a smart city approach. It means you have to achieve meaningful outcomes through the use of data and technology. Engage with residents, know their most pressing issues and then develop your proposal. After a short review by the experts applications will be evaluated by the jury. The jury will decide the finalists’ name in summer 2018. Each finalists will receive $250,000 grant to develop their proposal. Final proposals are due in winter 2019. The final submissions deadline will be announced later by Infrastructure Canada. After review and evaluation the winners will be announced in spring 2019.
