The Federal Reserve Bank Of Chicago and its partner organizations have organised Money Smart Kid Essay Contest. Kids have to write a newspaper article describing the potential devastating effects of a natural disasters (hurricane, flood, fire etc.) on a family’s financial situation. Your article should be based on only one type of natural disaster. Must tell your readers how they will be prepared to save themselves by natural disasters. The article should be up to 300 words. Six finalists will be selected to attend the Money Smart kick-off breakfast. The winner will be awarded by Money Smart Kid and Chicago’s Financial Literacy Ambassador for one year. Finalists’ interview will be held on March 19, 2018.
Open for 5-8 grade students across USA.
March 2, 2018.
- The winner will receive $3,000 scholarship.
- Two $1,000 scholarship for runner-ups.
- Laptops will be given to other 3 finalists.
